Debut CD gets top ranking on Roots chart

Missy Andersen’s self-titled debut CD proves its staying power by receiving continued worldwide airplay and positive reviews a year after its release. Missy Andersen stills holds a spot on the Real Blues Top 100 and has remained in the top three since September 2009. More recently, the CD sprung to #9 on the California Roots Airplay chart (all genres) and makes its first appearance on the international Top 50 Blues chart at #38. Both airplay charts are reported and tracked by Roots Music Report. |

Missy Andersen hits Real Blues Top 100 and Living Blues
Radio Play Charts
October 2009
For the second month in a row, the self-titled debut album Missy Andersen holds the #2 spot on the Real Blues Top 100 CDs Chart. The chart is based on CDs received for review in the previous 24 calendar months. All have been graded as ‘Highly Recommended Purchases’ and all selections are based solely on Artistic/Spiritual Merit. The list, presented each month by Real Blues Magazine of Canada, is a ‘Bribery-free’ listing so you can ‘take-it-to-the-bank’.
The Living Blues Radio Play Charts of August and September show Missy Andersen placing at #16 and #21, respectively. The LB Radio Play Charts are tallied by Living Blues Magazine and are based entirely on radio play at participating stations for the previous month. “Missy Andersen” officially hit stores in April and continues to receive raves from critics and fans alike. |

Missy Andersen Nominated for Best Blues Album
August 2009
The nominees have just been announced for the 2009 19th annual San Diego Music Awards and Missy Andersen's new, self-titled release has been nominated for Best Blues Album. This year's event is scheduled for September 10, 2009 at Viejas.
The SDMA is an annual event put on by the San Diego Music Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 1991 that works diligently to uplift the music community within San Diego County, and has since its inception raised over $500,000 funds which have been used to assist Handicapped Teen Centers, to fund arts programs within the San Diego Unified School District, and to fund the placement of music equipment into schools within San Diego County.

Missy Andersen is honored to have been selected as a nominee for Best R&B Artist/Group for the 1st annual Lifeswork Entertainment Awards. Missy is one of 50 official nominees in 7 musical genres: Rap, R&B, Jazz, Pop, Christian, Rock and Club DJ/Promoter. The awards ceremony that is sponsored by HBO, Target, ESPN, NBC, and Nick Cannon, will be held at the Lyceum Theater in San Diego, CA on August 14, 2009. |
