Back in October 2014, Missy and Heine were slated to represent San Diego in the Duo/Solo competition of the International Blues Challenge. Two short months later, a Blues Music Award nomination effectively sidelined the duo. IBC participants cannot appear on a final BMA ballot and their disqualification marked the first occurrence since the rule was instated. You can’t keep a good thing down though s
